In September, the Irene Dunne Guild organizes the annual "Treats for Caregivers" to show gratitude and appreciation to all the employees at Saint John’s Health Center, and thank them for delivering compassionate care to patients

Thank you to the Irene Dunne Guild volunteers for another incredible Treats for Caregivers!
Treats for Caregivers was held on Wednesday, Sept 17, from 1-4 PM at Mullin Plaza. Treats for Caregivers is one of the Guild's signature annual events, and this year, we handed out over 800 ice creams to Saint John’s caregivers and medical staff across both the day and night shift. Attendees were also able to win gift cards donated from local businesses through trivia, hula hooping, and cornhole.
A special thank you to local businesses who supported with generous donations, including Shake Shack, Randy's Donuts, El Cholo, Mendocino Farms, Lemon Nails & Spa, Uppers Cafe, Santa Monica Seafood & Cookie Good.

TREATS FOR CAREGIVERS 2024

On Thursday, September 12th, 2024, the Irene Dunne Guild host its annual "Treats for Caregivers" event at Saint John's Health Center and it was a great success! We welcomed the SJHC caregivers and staff to enjoy ice cream treats and entertainment, including music, a fun trivia game with prizes generously donated by local businesses, and a hula hoop contest! Thank you to event chair Diane Morgan for organizing, to Morgan Culbertson for the fun Trivia, and to the amazing IDG volunteers who helped make the event possible.
In the past, the Guild would distribute healthy snacks and treats to various hospital departments on a monthly basis. Guild members would work together to purchase large bags of apples, small cheeses, sweets, and other treats, which they would then bring to designated staff lounges at Saint John's. Since 2014, the Guild has also sponsored hospital-wide Ice Cream Socials for all the caregivers at the Health Center. |
