On February 27th, several members of the Irene Dunne Guild attended the Collective Healing Symposium organized by the Saint John’s Health Center Foundation.
The program featured medical experts discussing grief and resilience following critical events, such as the Palisades Fire. The symposium provided enriching insights and valuable perspectives on collective healing. Dr. Spanos, a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry, delivered an insightful presentation that deeply resonated with attendees. Guild members in attendance included Kathy Yawitz, Carol Bullock, Kate Prudente, Jill Robertson, Su-Z Schneider, Morgan Culbertson, and Tess Csiszar.

Many members of our community with homes or businesses in and around Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Santa Monica, and Brentwood have been affected by the Palisades Fire. Some have lost their homes, while others have lost their businesses—devastating losses. We are deeply grateful to the first responders for their incredible efforts in protecting lives.
At the last board meeting, the Irene Dunne Guild Board approved the formation of a Special Committee, chaired by Katie Harding, to explore how the Guild can support IDG members impacted by the fires. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the fires in the Los Angeles area.
